In addition to the immediate area Rushbrook Farmhouse B&B is an excellent base from which to visit other places of interest, whether by bike, rail or car, or even walking.  For cyclists and bikers we may be able to offer secure storage.  Please enquire.

We are situated on a quiet narrow country lane, yet only 2 miles from Junction 3 on the M42.   From that junction  there is easy access to the M40, M5 and M6 motorways.   From our local station there is a direct rail link to Birmingham City Centre and Stratford-upon-Avon.

 

Tanworth-in-Arden

Tanworth-in-Arden churchWithin walking distance is the local picturesque village of Tanworth-in-Arden with its ancient  church, historical buildings and Pub opposite the village green.

Solihull

Solihull is a 15 minute drive away and offers excellent all-weather shopping with the new Touchwood Centre.

Birmingham ICC

The Birmingham ICC International Convention Centre is adjacent to the attractive canal and leisure area in the centre of Birmingham. The rail journey from our local station takes just over 30 minutes.

National Exhibition Centre

The NEC is the premier exhibition location in the UK.  It can easily be reached by Motorway in 20 minutes.

Henley-in-Arden

Henley-in-Arden is one of the local Warwickshire villages that cannot be missed.  With its half timbered buildings, it still retains a great deal of character and history.  There is an interesting variety of shops and antique centres to choose from.  You can browse around the heritage centre, or unwind in one of the restaurants or pubs.  Henley-in-Arden is of course also famous for its ice cream and its market held on Wednesdays and Saturdays.

National Motorcycle Museum

For the motorcycle enthusiast, the National Motorcycle Museum is a must see.  It is situated near the NEC, just 20 minutes from Rushbrook Farmhouse B&B.

Earlswood Lakes

Windmill lake EarlswoodJust 2 miles away, you will find Earlswood lakes -  a paradise for nature lovers.  A walk along the paths and through the woodland surrounding the lakes is an excellent way to unwind.  You may want to watch the bird-life, the sailing boats, or try your hand at coarse fishing (subject to holding necessary license of course), or simply enjoy the surroundings.  Afterwards, you could call at the Earlswood craft centre for a home-made ice cream, or visit the Red Lion pub for a meal in front of a log fire.

Warwick Castle

Warwick with its wealth of history and dramatic mediaeval castle is a visit not to be missed.  It can be reached by road in 20 minutes.

Stratford-upon-Avon

Stratford-upon-Avon, the birthplace of Shakespeare and home to the Royal Shakespeare Theatre is  within 20 minutes journey by car, or just 21 minutes by rail from our local railway station.

Birmingham City Centre

Birmingham is an excellent centre of entertainment and leisure for visitors of all ages.  Attractions include Symphony Hall, theatres, Sea Life centre, National Indoor Arena, IMAX cinema, museums, art galleries, restaurants, famous Bull Ring shopping centre, markets, lively canal side bistros and pubs.   The rail journey from our local station takes 32 minutes.

The Cotswolds

Rushbrook Farmhouse is a convenient base for visiting the Cotswold region with its pretty villages, rolling countryside, and up-market antique shops.

Walking

The area is an excellent base for those who enjoy walking, whether you are looking to walk 1 mile or 20.  A network of public rights-of-way gives access to the surrounding varied countryside, with  gently rolling hills, streams, woodland, open fields, and pretty villages.  We will be delighted to give you details of walks to suit your particular needs.

Meals out

There are a wide range of restaurants to suit all tastes within 10 minutes drive.  In addition meals are served at the 5 village pubs within 2 miles of the Farmhouse.
